Pop along to see our caring expert Jasmin for advice and services on all aspects of hair loss. Including covering up, try on and receive a free head scarf, wig care, new hair growth and much more.
In the comfort of a private room come and have a cuppa and a chat to see if we can help you. Open to all, men and women. For young people under 18 please be accompanied by an adult.

If you are coming in for treatment please feel free to drop in. If you are making a special journey it is best recommended to book in advance
What services do you offer?
All services are FREE. The aim of the clinic is to offer advice on all aspects of chemotherapy and hair loss. From cutting your hair in preparation for hair loss, customising wigs, try on and buy scarves and specialist headwear, new hair growth cutting and advice etc. Whatever your question - we can help by either offering you services or linking you to those organisations who can help. (Please note that we do not supply wigs but can offer advice, cut and customise and teach you how to wear your wig well). To use your NHS wig referral you will need to visit the local NHS supplier – click here.
I am not having treatment at The Lister Hospital can I attend your clinic?

To book an appointment at Jo Gates salon for Cancer Hair Care services please DO NOT call the salon directly. Please call the Caring Hair team on 01438 488082. If you need to cancel an appointment on the day or are running late kindly call the service mobile on 07917 818609.
Location: Private on Wed and Thurs mornings for Caring Hair Only (kindly note there are around 10 steps to get upstairs to the salon – please do let us know if you need any assistance).

“Jo Gates” salon is located above Gladleys Deli Café at 5a Middle Row, Stevenage High Street. Please note that the salon entrance is round the back on *Church Lane. If you are facing Gladleys front door look right - at the end of the street you will see a barber shop called ‘The Cutter’. Go down the lane between the Barbers shop and Oxfam - you will now be on Church Lane. Look left for a bright red wooden garage and a sign saying 'Race Ways'. The entrance to Jo Gates is here via ‘Race Ways’ (Motor cycles and Scooters). Walk through the yard and follow signs to Jo Gates. Go through the main black door and up the stairs.
Parking: Parking is free in the high-street for 2 -3 hours. The Bunyan Baptist Church Car Park is directly behind the salon in Church Lane (Sat-nav SG1 3QR). Car Park charges: 0.50p an hour.
